Neil became the Assistant Director of the 14-18’s age groups at Prime Time in 2014, after spending four years as a coach within the program. In this role, Neil master-coaches all High School practices while working with coaches to ensure the success of their teams and players.
Andrews’ last two high school teams finished 13th at AAU Nationals in Orlando. During the course of these two years, these teams finished in Gold an impressive 11 times in 15 opportunities, winning several tournaments in the process.
Outside of Prime Time, Neil has spent time as an assistant coach at Parkland College, where he worked with the outside hitters and assisted with the recruiting and scouting effort. As a player, Neil has experience as a libero and outside hitter. He played for Fury Volleyball Club and Lincoln-Way Central High School helping Lincoln-Way set back-to-back school records in wins while winning the school’s first conference championship in 19 years. Neil holds multiple spots in the top 10 for serving percentage and number of aces.
Neil graduated in 2013 from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor’s degree in Speech and Hearing Sciences. He currently works at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications, a unit within the University of Illinois, as the Industry Program Manager. Neil continues to play competitively both indoors and outdoors.
