Ron Hoppe-Hastings

Ron Hoppe-Hastings, Assistant Director (Operations)

Ron became part of the Prime Time administrative staff in 2011. His current role involves most of the "behind the scene" aspects of club operation.

Ron has coached teams at multiple junior high and high school levels the last six seasons. Ron has led four high school teams (16 Blue in 2012, 17 Blue in 2013, 18 Blue in 2014, and 15 Blue in 2015) and one junior high team (13 Blue in 2015) to the USAV Junior National Championship Tournament. His 13U, 15U, 16U, and 17U teams all hold the distinction of being the first Prime Time team to qualify for the USAV Jr. National Championship Tournament in their respective age division.

Outside of Prime Time, Ron is one of the assistant coaches at Parkland College where he coordinates the recruiting efforts and summer camps, while also focusing on defense, serve receive, and setting. Additionally, Ron has interscholastic coaching experience, having spent two years as the head coach of Mahomet-Seymour High School (2012-2013) where he led the Bulldogs to back-to-back 20+ win seasons for the first time since the early 2000's.

As a player, Ron helped Ball State's club volleyball team to the National Intramural Recreation Sports Association Championships in 2003, 2004, and 2005. As an outside hitter in 2004 and libero in 2005, his team had back-to-back top ten finishes.

Ron graduated cum laude from Ball State University in 2006 with bachelor's degrees in Criminal Justice and Political Science. He completed his master's degree in Student Affairs Administration in Higher Education in 2008. He currently stays at home with he and Cliff's four-year old twins, Alexandra and Sydney, while taking classes in the Nursing Program at Parkland. He continues to play competitively both indoors and outdoors.
