History

Prime Time Volleyball Club was first established in the Champaign-Urbana area in December, 1995. In Prime Time's first year, membership within the club consisted of 48 girls in the High School program and 53 girls in the Jr. High/Youth program. Prime Time has since developed into one of the premier clubs in central Illinois, holding the distinction of being the only USAV club in central and southern Illinois to send a team to the USAV Jr. National Championship Tournament.

The 2005-2006 season ushered in a new era when Cliff Hastings became the director. Cliff brought with him a new mission and new focus for Prime Time. A number of changes took place under Hastings, including a greater focus on the individual athlete's growth with position-specific training, a high level master-style coaching philosphy, and an increased emphasis on team development by ensuring that all teams participate in at least two large national tournaments per year.

Continued progress led to Prime Time advancing 17 teams to the USAV Jr. National Championships over the last four seasons.

In 2016, we then took our next step in creating a tournament schedule such that teams were competing at the best tournaments with development of the team's skills balanced with a number of recruiting opportunities for each individual player.  Teams compete throughout the Midwest capped with AAU Nationals in Orlando, FL in June.

We are also very proud to say that during this time span, every senior that played Prime Time and had a desire to play volleyball collegiately had opportunities to do so, reinforcing the concept of developing the elite athlete and our dedication to quality over quantity.
